FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN TESTING - VANCOUVER, BC

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is the product of an exercise philosophy known as Functional Movement. This exercise philosophy and corresponding set of resources is based on sound science, years of innovation, and current research.

At The Canadian Baseball Strength and Conditioning Academy, we use the FMS with our athletes as a screening assessment designed to identify asymmetries and movement limitations.

These unbalanced patterns are typically developed over time as a result of poor posture, sport demands, or injury, and can be the cause of much physical discomfort and dysfunction as the body tries to compensate and restore balance improperly.

If the FMS reveals areas of imbalance, we will apply proper corrective techniques to restore your daily function and optimize your workout experience.
